Jackets Remain on Sentinel Super 16 Watchlist, November 2, 2011

LEESBURG - Randy Trivers Fightin' Yellow Jackets remain on the Sentinel Super 16 Watchlist. Leesburg enters the 2011 regular final Friday night against Ocala Lake Weir. The Jackets are 7-2 (2-2) and were ranked as high as #13 this season in the Super 16 poll Buddy Collings Collings and the Sentinel Varsity Staff.

Leesburg is 1-2 against Super 16 opponents, their lone win was against Bushnell South Sumter High School 13-6 in Bushnell. South Sumter was ranked #16 in the Super Sentinel at the time and #5 in the Associated Press Class 4A Top Ten High School Football Poll.

Leesburg's two losses this season have been against two teams ranked in the Orlando Sentinel Super 16. The loss to Orlando Maynard Evans was on the road at Trojans Field in Orlando. Evans at the time was undefeated and ranked #5 in the Super 16. The Trojans were also ranked #10 in the Associated Press Class 7A Top Ten Football Poll. Leesburg's other loss was to Clermont East Ridge in the Dungeon at East Ridge High School. East Ridge was the #16 ranked team in the Super 16 poll at the time of the loss.
