LEESBURG - The Jackets are 5-0 against non-district opponents in 2011.
Before the win over St. Cloud earlier this season Leesburg had never beaten any team larger than a 6A Classification they are now 3-2 against 7A competition their first year playing on that level.
Leesburg's two losses this season have been against two teams ranked in the Orlando Sentinel Super 16. The loss to Orlando Maynard Evans was on the road at Trojans Field in Orlando. Evans at the time was undefeated and ranked #5 in the Super 16. The Trojans were also ranked #10 in the Associated Press Class 7A Top Ten Football Poll. Leesburg's other loss was to Clermont East Ridge in the Dungeon at East Ridge High School. East Ridge was the #16 ranked team in the Super 16 poll at the time of the loss.

Three of the Jackets opponents have spent time in the Super 16 and the Super 16 Watch List. At the time when Leesburg faced the three opponents they came in with a combined record of 13-2 and #5 and #10 rankings in the state top ten poll. The Jackets played all three games on the road.
The Jackets have a chance to finish the 2011 regular season undefeated at Leesburg Memorial Field at Hubert O. Dabney Stadium. Leesburg will enter Friday's game against Ocala Lake Weir with a 4-0 home record.
Randy Trivers continues his winning ways, the Jackets have posted back to back winning seasons in 2010 and 2011. In 2008 and 2009 the Jackets had a combined record of 9-11. In the two seasons since Trivers arrived the Jackets are 13-6 going into Friday's regular season final. This is the fastest start for any Leesburg High School since Max Wettstein in 1973 and 1974.
