LEXINGTON, KY. — Two weeks ago, University of Kentucky senior Danny Trevathan (Leesburg High School, Leesburg, FL) was left off the list of 12 semifinalists for the Butkus Award — given annually to the top linebacker in the FBS — even though he has more tackles than all but one of the guys who made the cut.

Trevathan has been playing angry as a result.
In the two games since his snub, Trevathan has 34 tackles, 2½ for losses; two interceptions; and a forced fumble. He recorded his second straight 17-tackle game last week against Mississippi and intercepted a pass for the third consecutive game.
