All the areas teams, except Leesburg and Umatilla, finished their regular seasons Friday night. Several of the teams are ranked in the States Top Ten in their respective classes.

Leesburg is going to the district play-off and is currently ranked No. 2 in Class A and after Fridays game may be No. 1.

Eustis, ranked No. 4 in Class B, won the Mid-Lakes Conference and still has a chance to go to the district playoffs.

Wildwood finished the season ranked No.9 Class B and will represent the area as the Home Team in the Dad's Club Holiday Bowl, Dec. 6.

Umatilla currently is ranked No. 9 Class C and still has a game left to play. They travel to Lake Weir to play tonight.

The final Honor roll reads like a Who's Who in area football circles.

On offense Leesburg's Mike Napier Greg Williams were again outstanding. Their running mate, Tony Hart also played a fine game. From Wildwood, Wayne Allen, Dale Nichols, and Richard Watkins led Wildwood's machine in the cat's victory over Lake Weir. South Sumter gained a berth in the State play-offs with Ronald Lawrence and Neil Hitchcock supplying the offensive punch needed. Joe Scott and Dennis Warren led Umatilla to victory, as they have in all the Bulldog wins, over Tavares.

Napier threw five touchdown passes, passed for 169 yards on nine completions and led the Jackets to their biggest scoring show of the year.

Williams ran his record, of scoring one touchdown or more per game, to nine straight games by scoring two T.D.'s against Sanford.

Hart also scored two touchdowns against the Seminoles and spent most of the evening grinding out yardage.

Wayne Allen ran for 130 yards in 15 carries and only played the firs half of the game. I don't happen to have a computer handy so I won't attempt to figure out his total yardage for the year.

Nichols, in what may have been his best passing night of the season, threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns.

Watkins, who Coach Palmer called the best hustler on his team, scored two T.d.'s and made an interception.

Lawrence, who quarterbacked the Rebels to the District Title, completed five of thirteen pases, one a TD and kicked all the P.A.T.'s, and ran for over 100 yards.

On Defense Greg Williams starred for Leesburg, intercepting two passes. Joey Merritt was the outstanding defensive player for the South Sumter Rebels. He made seven unassisted tackles, recovered a fumble, intercepted a pass, punted for an average of 31 yards, and kicked a field goal of 16 yards. Don Bell was Eustis's defensive standout, making 12 unassisted tackles and numerous assists.
