The football fans of the Leesburg area are in store for quite a treat this weekend. They will have two nights of football and will see teams that stress different type of offensive attack.

Friday night, when the Auburndale Bloodhounds meet the Leesburg Yellow Jackets in the Quarter finals of the state playoffs, they will see two teams who possess a strong passing attack. Saturday night, when the Umatilla Bulldogs meet, the Wildwood Wildcats they will see two teams that stress their running game.

Auburndale is a fast lanky team who have outscored their Class A opponents by quite a margin. This was done by their passing attack.

Although Leesburg has several fine running backs, their primary mode of attack is the forward pass. The Jackets have won nine of 10 games and in all their contests, they have accumulated more passing yardage than their opponents.

The Umatilla Bulldogs have averaged yards rushing per game. They have an outstanding running back in Joe Scott. Their Quarterback Dennis Waarren is also an excellent runner.

Wildwood is one of the best Clss B teams in the state.

Recently, they have rolled over their opponents. Most of their scoring was done with their running attack. Wayne Allen has led the team in the rushing department all year long and is a constant threat to go all the way.

Umatilla is a Class C team and Wildwood is Class B, but it is doubtful as to whether or not you will be able to tell any difference in classification Saturday night.
