Forest High Wildcats dominated the 1975 Big Sun All-Conference team by having eight players selected to the 22 man squad.
The Wildcats who put the wraps on their second straight Class AAA title by beating Delray Beach Friday night, had five defensive players and three offensive players named to the team.
Vanguard, Leesburg and Eastside each had three players selected while North Marion had two and Buchholz one.
Forest defense selections included linebackers Scot Brantley and Russell Kirk, Okie Lanier defensive back Harold Franklin and nose guard Eddie Mobley.
Rounding out the defensive team were ends Larry Williams of Vanguard and Wayne Hamilton of Leesburg, defensive back Vernon James of Eastside and Alvin Bailey of Leesburg, tackle Mack Coleman of Lake Weir and linebacker Eric Biggs also of Lake Weir.
Except for juniors Lanier and Coleman, the team was made up entirely of seniors.
The big sun offensive team consisted of split end Thomas Jefferson, Forest; flanker Donnie Hopkins, Vanguard; tight end Elmer Sherman, Eastside, tackles Greg Futch, Forest; and W.P. Wilkerson, Eastside; guards Neil Zimmerman, Buchholz and Andrew Hodges, North Marion; center Phil Pharr Forest; quarterback Don Colston, Vanguard; and running backs Dan Oliver, Leesburg; Herb Wilkerson, North Marion; A junior Wilkerson was the only underclassman on offense.
Special mention went to Buchholz sophomore Fred Marion on defense and Vanguard junior Darryl Stafford, Eastside senior Chuck Roberts and Lake Weir senior Mark Hubbard on offense.
Brent Hall of Forest was selected as coach of the year.
