LEESBURG - Former Leesburg High School Standout Max Wettstein at Florida State University. Wettstein earned varsity letters in 1963, 1964, and 1965 for the Seminoles. 1965 #89 Max Wettstein Florida State vs. Kentucky
 
Florida State hosts the Florida Gators for the first time in Tallahassee in 1964. Florida State had never beaten Florida. Florida came on the filed with "Go For Seven" on the front of their jerseys and "Never FSU Never" on the back of the jerseys. "Well little brother had grown up" and FSU defeated the Gators 16-7.
