TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Defensive tackle Greg Johnson of Fruitland Park and offensive guard Jeff Gardner of Miami have been elected season's captains of Florida State's football team.
Coach Darrell Mudra said Tuesday that Johnson and Gardner will be joined by two players who would be named a alternate captains each game.
The alternates for Saturday's season opener at Texas Tech will be center Smokey Ragins of Plant City and defensive end Randy Coffield of Hialeah.
