LEESBURG - Leesburg (Fla.) linebacker Noor Davis visited Florida on Saturday, but says that he remains strongly committed to Stanford moving forward. One of the biggest names on the UF campus for an SEC showdown with Alabama this past weekend was Leesburg (Fla.) linebacker prospect Noor Davis. The Stanford commitment came into the visit expecting to have fun and left very impressed by what the Swamp had to offer on a Saturday night.
Defensive back/Safety Tre Perry also made the trip to the swamp and was also impressed with the Gator and their athletic facilities. Perry is no longer under the recruiting radar at Leesburg. He was their with about 50 other recruits on a unofficial recruiting visit viewing the game.

Davis is still committed to Stanford but decided to visit UF over the weekend. The 6'4 and 225-pound defensive standout checks in from Leesburg (FL) Leesburg High School. Davis and Perry enjoyed the trip and the big game environment at Florida Field/Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

"We arrived at UF slightly before the Gator Walk," Noor Davis said. I went to the game with my family and with one of my Leesburg teammates, Trey Perry, who is a very talented CB/S. After the Gator Walk we went inside to the Gator Room, where we ate and met with many of the recruits who were also there. I briefly met with Coach White, Coach Durkin, Coach Young, Coach Hill, and Coach Quinn."

"In spite of my Stanford commitment, I am still being actively recruited by several of the schools that were in my Top 5. I am committed to Stanford, but my parents have encouraged me to take some of my official visits. Following my unofficial visit to Florida, I am taking official visits to Stanford (10/22), Alabama (11/5) and USC (11/26)".

"The best part of the trip was experiencing a game day in The Swamp. What a great experience! The Florida fans are amazing! They are so passionate! The energy of the crowd was electric and I am the type of player that feeds off of that! Both teams played with so much speed and intensity. I learned a lot by just watching them. I spoke with all of the other recruits that were there. It was nice to finally meet them after hearing about them over this past year. I am not certain whether I will take an OV to UF after the season. I have been to UF many times before...the only experience that was missing was game day."

Will Davis and Perry end of being Gators in 2011? Only time will tell.
