OVERVIEW: The Class 4A Jackets beat the 3A Panthers 7-6 last year in the season opener. Leesburg has all but three starters back from last year's 8-2 team that finished in a three-way tie for the 4A-7 title. Eustis lost 19 seniors from last year's 3A-8 champion. Both teams won their halves in last week's jamboree at Clermont. Speedy TBs Oran Singleton of Leesburg and Oliver Longley of Eustis are the players to watch. Senior ILBs Ty Lawrence and Beau Young lead the Jackets defense, while DT Chris Tedford and DB Chauncey Nash head the Panthers' defenses
KEY STATS: Leesburg is ranked 10th in the Class 4A state poll, Singleton rushed for 1,798 yards last season and scored 20 touchdowns. Longley rushed for 288 yards last season in a backup role to Bayfus McCoy.
