Greenville, Pa - Former Jackets standout Max Green has found himself a home at Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania. Green is one of three Jackets that are currently on the the Tomcats 2012 roster. Green didn't receive a lot of attention while at Leesburg by college recruiters but caught the attention of his former coach John Harakal.

Green a defensive standout for Randy Trivers Fightin' Yellow Jackets is having a good start to his college career under head coach Kurt Reiser. Green has put in the extra effort to become a regular contributor for the Tomcats.

Former Jackets standout Max Green
"College has been great so far," said Green in a one on one interview with Gerald Lacey.

"I have met great people and made many friends"

Green has impressed the coaching staff at Thiel and they believe he can become a major contributer to the program.

Former Leesburg High School Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach John Harakal. Harakal is now the defensive coordinator for Thiel College.
"He has a tremendous motor a great 'get off' on the snap and is a very tough football player," Defensive Coordinator John Harakal said in a interview with Carver Heights Quarterback Club Staff Writer Gerald Lacey.

"Max had a great camp and is doing well," Harakal said. "He has worked tremendously hard to compete everyday that has not gone unnoticed."

Harakal says that Green has a chance to move up the Tomcats depth chart, but it all rests on Green's shoulders. Green is playing both defensive tackle and nose tackle this season. If Green a true freshmen, doesn't play his way into the regular rotation he may be redshirted this season. Green is currently listed as the 3rd team nose tackle for the Tomcats.

"Max has the potential to work his way into the D line rotation," Harakal said. Max will determine when that happens."

"Max will play DT either our nose tackle or our 3 technique."

If Green plays with the fire that he played with while at Leesburg he will certainly see himself in the middle of the mix soon at Thiel College.
