With the next morning’s opening bell just several hours away, many high school teachers are already asleep. But Trivers, an alternative programs teacher within the English department, is still at Northwest, working relentlessly at his other full-time job, as the Jaguars’ head football coach. He’s not leading a practice, or coaching a game, or supervising his players in the locker room; in short, he’s doing none of the things he’s paid for. Trivers is working overtime on top of overtime.
