LEESBURG — Oran Singleton rushed for 237 yards and three touchdowns in leading Leesburg to a 41-0 victory over University on Friday night before about 1,200 fans in a Class AAAA, District 7 game at Memorial Field/Hubert O. Dabney Stadium.

Leesburg (4-1, 1-0) moved into a tie for the district lead with Seminole. University is 0-5, 0-1.
Singleton had 135 yards called back because of four penalties. Twice he had touchdowns called back, including a 71-yarder. His replacement, Herbert Ellis, ran 63 yards for the Yellow Jackets' third score.

The Yellow Jackets scored quickly. With University's defense geared to stop Singleton, D.J. Keith broke loose on a 73-yard run up the middle for the first touchdown 1:05 into the game.

''It was good to win,'' Leesburg coach Ed Hoffman said. ''But I'm concerned about the penalties.''
The Yellow Jackets had 13 penalties for 120 yards.

Singleton, who pushed his season total to 1,126 yards, broke free on a 57-yard run with 1:53 remaining in the first half for his first touchdown. He added touchdown runs of 13 and 24 yards in the second half.

Leesburg held the Cougars to 28 yards rushing and 11 passing.
