Carver Heights Quarterback Club Presents:
Leesburg At Tavares Post Game Interview, September 1, 2012
Gerald Lacey:
Good Morning Bryan How are you?
Bryan Jefferson:
"Good afternoon Gerald, I'm doing well."
Gerald Lacey:
You and your teammates had a great game against Tavares last night over at Argin A. Boggus Stadium. What were the keys to last nights win over Tavares?
Bryan Jefferson:
"The key to last night’s victory was to just simply pick up the
intensity. Our offense was put in some very good situations that we
didn't capitalize on early in the game."

"We all just had to pull
together, focus, and play with intelligence"
Gerald Lacey:
What did Tavares do well in the game last night?
Bryan Jefferson:
"Tavares did a
good job of keeping our offense off the field as much as possible by
running down the clock to keep the game tight in the first half. They
were also giving a lot of pressure off the line of scrimmage."
Gerald Lacey:
What was team mood at halftime after leading only by 7?
Bryan Jefferson:
"At half time the team was very disappointed about our performance in the
first half. We knew that we could perform much better, but we didn't
let our heads hang."

Gerald Lacey:
What did coach Trivers say to you guys at halftime?
Bryan Jefferson:
"The team knew we had to come out playing a lot
harder if we wanted a victory. We remained humble and expected to win
the second half."
"At halftime Coach Trivers talked to us about
mental focus and accountability. He addressed that every man has a job
that they must attend to, but we all had to work as a team. He told us
to stay tough, eliminate mistakes, and sacrifice for each other."
Gerald Lacey:
How did it feel scoring your first varsity touchdowns?
Bryan Jefferson:
"Scoring my first varsity touchdowns was a wonderful experience that I
look forward to again. I Knew I had to be patient and wait for man
chance and when it came I had to take advantage."
"But the thing that
excites me most is not just scoring alone, but to see the excitement and
joy on the faces of your team, coaching staff, and fans."
