Dan Oliver wins A and M freshman award

TALLAHASSEE - Daniel Oliver, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Oliver of Okahumpka, has received recognition as the most Scholarly freshman member of Florida A&M University 1976 football team.
Oliver 18, who plays the position of wingback for FAMU, holds a 3.45 grade point average. He is a graduate of Leesburg High School where he earned letters in football and basketball and was a first-team All-State performer.
Oliver received the Freshman scholarship trophy at FAMU's annual Football Banquet honoring the 1976 Rattler squad.
In addition to the presentation of awards and letters, the program included remarks by FAMU Head Coach and Athletic Director Emeritus A.S. "Jake" Gaither, Head Coach Rudy Hubbard, Athletic Director Hansel Tookes and University President B.L. Perry, Jr.
