LAKE CITY - Leaving yesterday at 4 o'clock, Leesburg Yellowjackets, journeyed in one of the school buses for Lake City to participate in one of the crucial game of the year when they meet the strong high school team there at 3:30 o'clock.
The local team has come through a stiff schedule without defeat and is making a strong bid for state championship honors. With Sanford as the final game of the season on Thanksgiving day, the Stingers have only to win today's and next week's game to have the right to challenge other teams prominent in high school football circles. Today's game will be the greatest test that the 'Jackets have had to meet since the well earned win over the strong Plant City team.
Banning will put his men through a light workout this morning and loosen all cramped muscles and incidentally accustom his men to the playing field.
